St. Michael’s offers opportunities to gather together and share in Christian
life through celebration and fellowship.
Coffee Hour
An opportunity to share each other’s company following the 10:00 a.m. service
(9:00 in summer months). All are welcome.
Celebration Committee
Gathering and celebrating our life together. This committee creates a welcoming
environment for parish gatherings throughout the year.
E.C.W.
Episcopal Church Women fellowship was organized to serve the church. Each month
a new and exciting program is offered. This group also supports parish life and
participates in a variety of community outreach projects. The E.C.W. gathers to
bake and sell breads and other goodies several times a year, including weekly
during Lent. Meetings are held on the second Saturday of the month at 9:00 a.m.
in Lewis Hall.
Brotherhood of St. Andrew
An international order for men, within the Anglican community, dedicated to the
disciplines of prayer, study and service. The St. Michael’s chapter was
re-established in 2008.
Softball
St. Michael’s Co-ed softball team play in the Naugatuck/Beacon Falls Conference
of Churches league every spring. So…come, play ball!
Parish Picnic
A casual gathering of parishioners. The parish picnic is held early in the
summer. We gather together to share food, fun and conversation. Activities are
available for all ages.
Greening of the Church
A wonderful opportunity to gather together as a community to prepare our Church
for the Christmas season. The adults put up a tree in the sanctuary while the
children create handmade ornaments to adorn the tree. After the tree is
decorated, the parish gathers together to sing Christmas carols and share a
meal. A great way to relax and reflect on what the season is all about!
Shrove Tuesday
Pancake Supper, colorful beads, games and lots of fun!! Held just before Ash
Wednesday, the parish gathers together.
St. Michael’s Village Green Fair
We work hard and play hard together to make this community event a great
success. Many opportunities for fellowship with each other. There is always a
need for another set of hands. Come join the fun!Twisted Stitchers
Stitchery Guild
St. Michael's Stitchery Guild meets the first and third Thursday of the month
downstairs in Lewis Hall from 7-9 pm. The Guild is currently creating a 9 patch
quilt to donate to the Silent Auction Booth. We are also creating eco-friendly
fabric shopping bags to sell in the Arts & Crafts Booth. We will machine sew most
of the projects, but will hand stitch the quilting part. Each member is also
working on a project of her own, some knitting and crocheting are going on. The
public is also invited to assist, teach one, make one, give one away. Any
remnants will be passed on to other quilting guilds in the area, as St.
Michael's recycles.
