As we are strengthened by worship, study and fellowship, we are empowered to reach out and help those in our greater community.

Naugatuck Food Bank
St. Michael’s collects food continuously throughout the year to contribute to this vital organization that distributes food to those in need.

Holiday Food Baskets
Along with other churches we donate food for over 200 holiday baskets. The Holiday Baskets are assembled in our Parish Hall and given out prior to Thanksgiving supplying families with all the trimmings for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Toy Sale
St. Michael’s collects toys for The Naugatuck & Beacon Falls Conference of Churches Annual Toy Sale, which is held in our Parish Hall.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners
On Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day a holiday meal for those in need is prepared and served by town volunteers in our Parish Hall. A wonderful opportunity to share the true meaning of the holidays.

Naugatuck Teen Theater
A major outreach of St. Michael’s, the Teen Theater is an after school activity for area High School and Middle School students. It is designed to teach and sharpen acting, singing, dancing and production skills.

New Beginnings
St. Michael’s sponsors several area school children and helps provide them with clothing needed to start the school year. This project satisfies an essential need as well as helps the children feel good about them selves.

Bishop’s 5K for Kids
Each spring St. Michael’s sends a team to represent our parish in this fun-filled event. Funds are raised to enhance the awareness about the plight of children at risk throughout Connecticut as well as underwrite social service programs that aid children in our urban, suburban and rural neighborhoods.

Mommy & Me
St. Michael’s provides an opportunity for new moms to meet on a bimonthly basis while allowing their children to socialize with their peers and to play in a nursery play area setting. Usually held on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Langhorst Wing.
